Levenhuk Strike 1000 PRO is the most advanced model in the Strike PRO series for advanced astronomers. It performs well both during planetary observations and study of deep-sky objects. Its 102-millimeter (4-inch) objective lens gathers so much light - 28% more than a 90-mm (3.5-in) objective lens, to be precise - that you can observe stars up to 12.0 stellar magnitude. That means you can study distant galaxies, nebulae, star clusters and so much more. Its focal length of 1300 millimeters (51.2 inches) provides very detailed views of planetary surfaces. But it is still a compact and lightweight model that you can easily carry to the countryside to enjoy the clear starry sky.

Levenhuk Strike 1000 PRO will become indispensable for experienced astronomers. Its tube is set up on a German equatorial mount EQ2, complete with slow-motion controls. You have to align an equatorial mount before your observations, but it is far more useful than an altazimuth mount during observations of moving objects. It has special setting circles that allow you to point your telescope to a celestial object using its celestial coordinates. It also compensates for the daily rotation of Earth with just a turn of a slow-motion control. You can even install an equatorial computerized drive system! The mount is set up on an adjustable tripod with an accessory tray.

High-quality optics for best results. The 102-millimeter (4-inch) objective lens and the fully multi-coated optics gather and transmit enough light for really bright and sharp views of celestial objects. Levenhuk eyepieces supplied in the kit are made to the highest standard and significantly expand the capabilities of your telescope. The T-thread on the focuser allows you to attach a camera to your telescope through a special adapter (purchased separately), so you can capture the most impressive views during your observations.

A truly advanced kit of Strike PRO Telescopes. All the telescopes from Strike PRO series are supplied with the standard kit of Strike models with some really useful extras that will allow you to venture deeper into cosmos during your astronomical observations. In addition to printed materials, additional eyepieces, a compass and planetarium software, you will also find the following extras in your kit: a 6.3 millimeter (1/4-inch) Plössl eyepiece, a 2x Barlow lens, a set of filters, lunar and solar filters, and a wonderful Levenhuk Zongo 60 Telescope Case. The telescope comes in a colorful box.

No other telescope has so many extras supplied in its standard kit, which makes Levenhuk Strike PRO Telescopes even more appealing for astronomers ready to learn more about the universe around them. With such an advanced kit, you can begin uncovering the mysteries of space right after unpacking your new telescope!

Amazing kit of a Levenhuk Strike PRO Telescope:

1. "See it all!" Astronomer's Handbook. This practical handbook will come in handy for amateur stargazers and those who want to brush up on their knowledge of the universe. The book contains detailed information on 280 celestial objects, their images (in color), star charts and other pictures. You will also find some information on various optical designs of telescopes.

2. Stellarium. This is 3D planetarium software that allows you to plan your observations and explore the night sky several years in the future. The database contains over 600,000 constellations, stars, comets, planets and their satellites and much, much more.

3. Space Posters Set (Moon, Sun and Other Stars, Solar System). These high-quality colorful posters contain interesting information about celestial bodies. Illustrations and captions present this information in an easy-to-read format. The posters are 84x60 cm (33x24 in).

4. Planisphere is a rotating star chart that lets you see the way stars have aligned a few centuries in the past or, if you wish, a hundred years in the future. All you need to do is align the viewer and the star chart, providing a date and time.

5. Compass. At times, even astronomers need a compass. Before you begin your observations, you always have to get yourself oriented to the Northern Pole. It is much easier when you have a compass ready! And after you find Polaris by the Northern Pole, you will see familiar constellations and other stars.

6. 6.3 mm Plössl eyepiece. This practical eyepiece yields high magnifications that allow you to study the Moon and planets of the Solar System in detail. All the optical elements are made of fully multi-coated glass and provide very bright and sharp images.

7. 2x Barlow lens. A Barlow lens is capable of doubling the focal length of the telescope, therefore doubling the magnification of your eyepieces. This makes your views of the Moon and planets even more detailed. A Barlow lens has to be placed before the eyepiece and does not reduce the resulting quality of your views.

8. Set of filters. These four filters may be used during planetary observations. They enhance the features of observed objects, which allows you to see even more details on the planetary surface.

9. Lunar filter. This filter reduces the glare of the lunar surface during observations. It does not reduce the quality of the resulting image nor does it change the natural colors of the Moon, but enhances every detail of lunar craters and highlands.

10. Solar filter. This filter is made of special Baader Planetarium AstroSolar Visual film that absorbs radiation from the sun and allows for comfortable observations of the star without any decrease in quality of the resulting image. Under no circumstances should you observe the Sun without a solar filter, as this may cause permanent retinal damage.

11. Levenhuk Zongo 60 Telescope Case. This case is made of a sturdy waterproof material, and the padded lining protects the telescope from impact. It is also fitted with handle straps, full-length zippers and separate compartments for the mount and accessories.

The kit includes:

  • Levenhuk Strike PRO telescope on a German equatorial mount
  • Aluminum tripod
  • Eyepieces: SUPER 10 mm, SUPER 25 mm

Justin Gross (2016-08-24 03:06): Pozitīvs
What celestial objects will I see through this telescope? Klientu apkalpošana:
Levenhuk Strike 1000 PRO Telescope is great for both planetary and deep-sky observations. You'll see dozens of planetary and diffuse nebulae, all Messier objects, polar ice caps on Mars and its seas, etc.

Jon Long (2016-02-15 08:12): Pozitīvs
Greetings! Could you please tell me how to connect a Canon camera to the telescope? I do not quite understand the procedure... Is this order correct: telescope-diagonal mirror-Barlow lens-T-ring-camera (without objective)? Should I also include eyepieces? And one more question. What stars will I be able to see with my Canon 60D (19Mpx) camera? Klientu apkalpošana:
When shooting at prime focus, all you need is a T-ring. Focal length will be 26.8 mm (for Canon cameras with 22.3 x 14.9 mm sensors). Magnification will be 1300mm/26.8mm=48.5x. You will be able to capture stars up to 12 magnitude.

Jerry (2016-01-31 04:46): Pozitīvs
Do you have special cases for this telescope? Klientu apkalpošana:
Consider Levenhuk Zongo 80 Telescope Case; Large, Blue - https://www.levenhuk.com/catalogue/accessories/levenhuk-zongo-80-telescope-case/.

Corey Kemp (2015-12-17 03:01): Pozitīvs
Could you please explain me how to calculate magnification with particular eyepieces? For example, with 25mm super eyepiece magnification will be 52 - is it with or without the Barlow lens? Klientu apkalpošana:
In order to calculate magnification with the given eyepiece, you need to divide the focal length of the telescope (1300mm) by the focal length of the eyepiece(25mm) which will be 52x. If you use the eyepiece and 2x Barlow together, magnification will be 2 times higher - 104x.

Alex (2015-11-29 04:13): Pozitīvs
Hi! Could you please explain or show me how to pack the telescope and all included accessories into the case? I'm doing something wrong, I guess.. I don't wanna bother you, but it would be really helpful if you could illustrate the process. Unfortunately, the tripod pouch doesn't have a room for anything but tripod (there are no pockets, no additional sections). The main bag doesn't have enough space for the mount either... If I put it on the bottom of the case, I can't attach the tube itself. Klientu apkalpošana:
The case from the kit is designed to carry the telescope tube and the tripod, so it doesn't have enough space for the mount. Small accessories can be stored in the side pockets on the main bag.

Alex Tate (2015-09-29 04:45): Pozitīvs
Hello! I've recently bought this telescope, and frankly speaking, I'm a little disappointed. When I use 25mm eyepiece the image is fine. But when I replace it with 10mm the image becomes blurry, and it gets even worse when I use 6mm one. So what is the problem? Is it because of poor quality eyepieces or something about telescope adjustment? Klientu apkalpošana:
If image quality is good when you observe with 25mm eyepiece, and not good when you use 10 or 6 mm eyepieces, then the telescope is not the problem. Perhaps, you need to turn the focusing wheel a little more when adjusting the view.

Jena (2015-03-17 02:02): Pozitīvs
Tell me... will I be able to see deep-sky objects such as galaxies, nebulae and planetary nebulae? Will I be able to distinguish individual stars in globular and open star clusters? (observation will take place in the countryside). Klientu apkalpošana:
Levenhuk Strike 1000 PRO Telescope is an ideal choice for observing planets, as well as deep-sky objects. You will see nebulae, galaxies, star clusters and more. More detailed information on what you can see with this telescope you can find here: http://eu.levenhuk.com/reviews/things_you_can_see/#second_group.

Jodi McCullough (2015-03-03 08:49): Pozitīvs
I am looking for a telescope to take to the 2015 Solar Eclipse. I have read that the Meade ETX 90 has a baffle problem that causes flaring during the Bailey's Beads portion of the eclipse. Can you comment on if anyone has used this scope for a total solar eclipse and what issues they may have had. I am also considering the Strike 900. Klientu apkalpošana:
Dear Jodi, thank you for your inquiry. We cannot provide any information about the Meade products. I'd recommend to consider buying a refractor for your purposes. The Levenhuk Strike 900 Pro will fit your needs and it already comes with a solar filter. Is there any additional information you might need?

Max Jones (2015-01-25 07:43): Pozitīvs
Hello, where can I take a look at the pictures made with this telescope, the Moon for instance? Klientu apkalpošana:
Please find Levenhuk Strike 1000 PRO Telescope Review by following this link: https://www.levenhuk.com/reviews/levenhuk-strike-1000-pro-review/. The review includes test shots, lots of telescope images and useful information about the telescope in general.

Andy Burgess (2014-12-11 01:11): Pozitīvs
I have been using this model for about a year and I really like it so far. Accessory pack includes lots of useful things, and produced images are great. but still my question is... If I ever to replace the tube with other one with larger diameter (I'm thinking MAK), will I be able to use the same mount (from Levenhuk Strike 1000 PRO)? Klientu apkalpošana:
The Levenhuk Strike 1000 PRO mount can hold any telescope tube that weighs up to 6.6 lb.

Darren Rosa (2014-11-27 05:57): Pozitīvs
I'm choosing between this telescope and Levenhuk SkyMatic 105 GT MAK. Which one provides better image quality? Klientu apkalpošana:
Both models have superior optics quality and provide maximum results due to their Maksutov-Cassegrain optical design. Levenhuk SkyMatic 105 GT MAK - telescope with an autoguider - will be a better choice for beginners due to its alt-azimuth mount which is very ease to use.

Timothy Brooks (2014-09-30 11:24): Pozitīvs
Hello! I have been using this telescope for about 2 years now... The kit is great indeed. I like observing Saturn and other planets, but the image is quite small... So I have a question to ask... which accessories should I purchase in order to get larger images? I asked it on astronomy forum and I was advised to buy dobsonian telescope, but I think it's too bulky and immobile... in addition I might have difficulties with alignment (that was the main reason I didn't buy it) Moreover, I don't really want to replace this telescope with another one.. Do you have any suggestions? Thank you in advance. And also where can I find telescope repair parts? I lost retaining screw on the adjusting knob... Klientu apkalpošana:
For Levenhuk Strike 1000 PRO we recommend buying eyepieces of higher quality: Levenhuk Ra ER20 WA 9 mm Eyepiece - https://www.levenhuk.com/catalogue/accessories/levenhuk-ra-er20-wa-9mm-eyepiece/; Levenhuk Ra ER20 WA 7 mm Eyepiece - https://www.levenhuk.com/catalogue/accessories/levenhuk-ra-er20-wa-7mm-eyepiece/. Please also consider Levenhuk Ra H-Beta 1.25'' Filter - https://www.levenhuk.com/catalogue/accessories/levenhuk-ra-h-beta-1-25-filter/. For information on purchasing telescope parts please contact our Customer Service Department - https://www.levenhuk.com/feedback/

Emil Shari (2014-08-18 10:55): Pozitīvs
I don't like Red Dot, is it possible to replace it with optical finder? Klientu apkalpošana:
Yes, you can install other finderscope on Levenhuk Strike 1000 PRO Telescope, but unfortunately optical finders are currently unavailable in our store.

Jessie Hanson (2014-08-15 12:32): Pozitīvs
Good day, I want to know if standard eyepieces are enough for quality observations of planetary disks? Or should I buy some additional accessories? Klientu apkalpošana:
Eyepieces included in the kit with Levenhuk Strike 1000 PRO Telescope are enough for planetary observations. We also recommend you consider wide angle eyepiece, for example Levenhuk Ra ER20 WA 9 mm Eyepiece https://www.levenhuk.com/catalogue/accessories/levenhuk-ra-er20-wa-9mm-eyepiece/

ANDRE (2014-08-12 12:27): Pozitīvs
Great telescope, the kit is amazing and the price is reasonable. I bought it mainly for astrophotography, pictures are sharp and realistic. As for visual lunar observations are my favorite, images are very detailed. Klientu apkalpošana:
Thank you for your feedback on Levenhuk Strike 1000 PRO Telescope.

Emil Shari (2014-08-11 09:50): Pozitīvs
What is telescope tube made of? Klientu apkalpošana:
Optical tube of the Levenhuk Strike 1000 PRO telescope is made of silumin.

Emil Shari (2014-08-08 12:43): Pozitīvs
Which 40 mm eyepiece is better for this telescope? Klientu apkalpošana:
We would recommend using Levenhuk Plossl 40 mm Eyepiece - https://www.levenhuk.com/catalogue/accessories/levenhuk-plossl-40mm-eyepiece/

Max Cook (2014-07-04 06:28): Pozitīvs
This telescope performs surprisingly well even when its highest practical power is exceeded (using eyepieces from the kit and 2x Barlow)! Insert Barlow lens in front of the mirror or prism and you will get 3x magnification! The eyepiece from the kit that originally gives you only 206x will produce 618x! So you can even see Uranus and Neptune! It's possible to catch Pluto! Klientu apkalpošana:
Thank you for your feedback on Levenhuk Strike 1000 PRO!

Max Cook (2014-07-04 05:15): Pozitīvs
Great telescope! Maybe other models are as good as this one, but this telescope is a wonderful instrument indeed! It's capable of producing high-quality images even in the city! One of many advantages - observing deep-sky! Despite the small aperture! Using special accessories it's even possible to take astro photos... Sun, Moon and Jupiter are wonderful! You will need a bit of patience and the right choice of eyepieces with a stable atmosphere to see all the wonders! Klientu apkalpošana:
Thank you for your feedback on Levenhuk Strike 1000 PRO.

Andy Hubbard (2014-06-14 05:44): Pozitīvs
Do I need a motor drive for this telescope? Is it available for purchase? Klientu apkalpošana:
Motor drives, unfortunately, are not available in our store at the time.

Max Sharp (2014-06-06 02:22): Pozitīvs
I can see a prism on your pictures... Does it come in the kit? And what type of prisms is it? Klientu apkalpošana:
Levenhuk Strike 1000 PRO telescope comes with a diagonal mirror included in the kit.

Mike Church (2014-05-21 12:46): Pozitīvs
But at the maximum increase of 206x the object goes out of sight for about 10 seconds, so I tell you what, I'm buying a motor drive! Klientu apkalpošana:
Thank you for your feedback on Levenhuk Strike 1000 PRO model!

Mike Church (2014-05-21 12:28): Pozitīvs
Planetary observation can be started immediately with 6.3 mm standard eyepiece (206x). I managed to see the rings of Saturn under urban illumination conditions and with atmospheric turbulence on the 60th parallel (the ecliptic is low). Brightness is not too high and I didn't see the bands, the rings appeared as one, but it's still great! This blue giant is very good! I think filters are not needed here. Klientu apkalpošana:
Thank you for your feedback on Levenhuk Strike 1000 PRO model!

Curtis Carver (2014-04-10 10:58): Pozitīvs
According to the laws of physics it is considered that it's impossible to get quality image through the atmosphere with magnification of more than 300x. Practically, it's possible! Install 2x Barlow lens in front of erecting mirror or prism and you will get additional 3x magnification with every eyepiece from the kit! It will require significant refocusing, but resulting image is totally worth it! You will see Jupiter as if you looked at the Moon with the naked eye. Wonderful telescope! Klientu apkalpošana:
Thank you for your feedback on Levenhuk Strike 1000 PRO!

Curtis Carver (2014-04-09 09:21): Pozitīvs
Hello to all astronomers! Today Mars reaches opposition! Take your "Levenhuk Strike 1000 PRO", cool it down for 20 minutes and, if the sky is clear, enjoy observing Martian mountains! Saturn also should come out in the early morning! Good luck! Klientu apkalpošana:
Thank you for your feedback on Levenhuk Strike 1000 PRO!

Curtis Carver (2014-04-04 10:59): Pozitīvs
This model together with the eyepieces and BL from the kit gives magnification up to 625x (!). Maybe it's not necessary and not entirely clear, but still... I'm really satisfied! But it's a pity that there's no motor drives in your store! Klientu apkalpošana:
Thank you for your feedback on Levenhuk Strike 1000 PRO!

Curtis Carver (2014-04-04 10:36): Pozitīvs
With a more expensive telescope you will possibly see a little more small nameless stars in nebulae and galaxies, planets wil appear 2 - 2.5 times bigger (but still pretty small). But extraterrestrial creatures on Mars won't be seen anyways!:) Pragmatically speaking, despite all the differencies in specifications I can say for sure that for me Levenhuk Strike 1000 PRO beats any other (even more expensive!) telescope! I can observe almost everything and the image is always great. Anyway, I just wanted to say that high price is not always justified and you can buy a very goood telescope for affordable price! Klientu apkalpošana:
Thank you for your feedback on Levenhuk Strike 1000 PRO!

Derrick Byrd (2014-03-21 11:42): Pozitīvs
I'd like to apologize for possible subvertising. But you see there is no improvement without useful criticism. So I hope that you will read this and take something into consideration. This telescope is great, but in my opinion it's too much for beginners, although the kit is obviously for children and the aperture is not the largest. But this telescope model is an ideal combination of image quality and portability. Stars with a magnitude of more than 12 most likely won't be interesting for you. Mars and Venus are a bit small but the picture is high-quality. The telescope is also perfect for observations under urban conditions without any additional filters. We observed with kids - they really really liked it. So I'm gonna say it one more rime: highly recommended! Klientu apkalpošana:
Thank you for your feedback on Levenhuk Strike 1000 PRO!

Derrick Byrd (2014-03-21 11:12): Pozitīvs
I'd like to start my own company producing "proper" mounts, but it seems easier for me to rant about the companies that already exist:) But I highly recommend Levenhuk Strike 1000 PRO to everyone! Indeed, the optics is great in all Levenhuk instruments! Klientu apkalpošana:
Thank you for your feedback on Levenhuk Strike 1000 PRO!

Derrick Byrd (2014-03-18 05:49): Pozitīvs
In continuation of the kit topic: 3 posters, M20 planisphere and compass. Are these really necessary? I mean I have nothing against it, I donated posters to nearby school... M20 is an interesting toy for kids, but nothing more. Compass is useless in the city since everything prevent it from providing the right coordinates (my car, keys, telescope itself!). So these are not indispensable accessories at all, why include them in the kit? Klientu apkalpošana:
The kit of Levenhuk Strike 1000 PRO and other Levenhuk Strike telescopes was designed not only for adult users, but for children as well.

Derrick Byrd (2014-03-17 11:19): Pozitīvs
About the kit that comes with Strike 1000 PRO: filters from Solar System Levenhuk F4 Filter Set are included in this kit, but they are not perfect for this telescope, the density is too high, they are more suitable for telescopes with an aperture longer than 150-200 mm. You should've included 'lighter' filters. Now let's talk about eyepieces: I'm really surprised seeing 6.3 eyepiece in the kit. For Strike 1000 PRO you should've chosen 6.5 mm eyepiece instead (1300/6.5=200x), for Strike 950 PRO 7 mm eyepiece is more suitable (1250/7=179x). You could just include Super 25 AND 2.5x Barlow lens. But, well, that's just my opinion. But if we talk about optics when that's where I have no complaints at all, the scope is great for its aperture. But I didn't quite like the mount though. Klientu apkalpošana:
Usually eyepieces and filters that come with telescopes are not intended for obtaining the maximum performance, but to provide you with comfortable observing conditions. The accessories that come with Levenhuk Strike 1000 PRO are worth the money and suitable for use with the telescope, we should mention as well that to obtain the highest results it is recommended to purchase additional accessories. If you are not satisfied with the mount please contact our Customer Service Department by calling: 800-342-1706.

Derrick Byrd (2014-03-13 10:42): Pozitīvs
To NEIL LOIS: the truly amazing Levenhuk T310 NG camera will "tie" you to the computer, which is not always convenient, but very "right" in terms of astrophoto. Other cameras will perform ok as well. The only question is how much money you are willing to pay. Klientu apkalpošana:
Thank you for your feedback!

Derrick Byrd (2014-03-13 10:19): Pozitīvs
To NEIL LOIS: astrophotography is a very expensive hobby. This telescope is great in all aspects, but photos like the ones Hubble makes you won't be able to capture. Theoretically and practically everything is possible but the best results you will get with Newtonian telescopes with aperture of 250 - 500 mm. You will need drive motors and a lot of adjustment skills. Good luck fellow astronomer! Klientu apkalpošana:
Thank you for your feedback!

NEIL LOIS (2014-03-13 01:45): Pozitīvs
I've purchased this telescope, and so far I'm really happy with it. I'd like to take pictures of the Moon and planets. I'm planning on buying inexpensive SLR camera for this purpose. Will I need t-rings and how can I adjust magnification? What will produce more quality pictures - SLR entry-level camera or a special camera like Levenhuk T310 NG? Klientu apkalpošana:
For Levenhuk Strike 1000 PRO model you will need a T-ring that should be chosen depending on the camera model. Magnification is changed through the camera's digital zoom. The image quality depends on the capabilities of the camera, in your case it's more reasonable to use SLR camera.

Sam (2014-03-12 10:18): Pozitīvs
Recently bought this telescope. Previously I had simple refractor with short focal length and aperture and alt-azimuth mount. So I can compare... and you know what? I'm really happy with this purchase! I've dropped out of life, my wife freaks out and tells me that I love this scope more than her:) Tonight I saw the Moon, Jupiter's satellites and its stripes, even took a look at the Orion nebulae! Amazing! Thanks to Levenhuk Strike 1000 PRO and its "smart" equatorial mount!!! Klientu apkalpošana:
Thank you for your feedback on Levenhuk Strike 1000 PRO!

Derrick Byrd (2014-03-12 10:34): Pozitīvs
Awesome trick for the lucky owners of telescopes: 2x Barlow lens that comes in the kit can become 3-fold, if it is installed in front of an erecting mirror or prism, and not as it should be in front of an eyepiece. I've read it in some manual and checked it in practice! Super 25 eyepiece provides 156x! Image quality is superb! With more powerful eyepieces from the kit it doesn't work though (the maximum useful magnification is exceeded - objects are very close, but the image is blurred). Klientu apkalpošana:
Thank you for your feedback on Levenhuk Strike 1000 PRO!

Adrian (2014-03-07 06:34): Pozitīvs
Hello! I've recently bought Levenhuk strike 950 pro, I really like this instrument (my old dream came true). Tell me, is there any sense to buy 100 pro and why? If yes, can I use the same accessories from 950 model with 100 pro telescope? Klientu apkalpošana:
The difference between these models is in the objective lens diameter (aperture) and, as a result, in magnification. These accessories are suitable, although you should remember that solar filter and eyepieces (in case your goal is to get the highest practical power) should be picked specifically for each particular model.

steven g. (2014-03-07 01:18): Pozitīvs
The manual for this model in the "Dec. balancing" section describes the procedure for refractors. How to perform this procedure on this model? The tube does not move and has only one position towards the mount. Klientu apkalpošana:
Dec. balancing procedure for Levenhuk Strike 1000 PRO model is exactly the same, there's no need to move the tube itself, you should move only the counterweight.

Good day! Thanks for the telescope! At 1st night I saw nothing interesting but jupiter's satellites and shadow from one of them, but the next day the Sun showed me all its glory! the spots were perfectly visible. So I'm really enjoying this telescope and the kit. The compass shows different "north" in different rooms, there are too many interfering signals in the house) Klientu apkalpošana:
Thank you for your feedback on the Levenhuk Strike 1000 PRO telescope!

I heard that models with objective lens diameter of more than 100 provide colored image. this telescope too? Klientu apkalpošana:
Image observed through the eyepiece is usually colored, but not always. The image is colored when observing terrestrial objects, as well as the Moon and planets, and you can see the colors of some stars. At the same time, faint objects in deep space, such as galaxies or nebula, are visible through the telescope as grayish clouds. However, when looking through large telescopes with objective lens diameter of 250-300 mm and more, you may notice some subtle colors of the brightest deep sky objects. In addition to the telescope aperture, it also depends on the viewing conditions (primarily on the level of illumination) , an adaptation of eyese to the dark and the individual vision characteristics of the observer. But even the largest professional telescopes can't help us to see deep sky objects as bright and colorful , as we are used to see on astro photos.

For observing from my balcony and rare field trips I would like to choose one of the following models: Maksutov Levenhuk Strike 1000 PRO or refractor Levenhuk Strike 90 Plus. The first one I like more because of its big inlet diameter; all necessary filters are included in the kit and it's 2 kg lighter. But I have one question. I will have to buy additional accessories to 1000 pro in order to observe the moon (1300/14x2=186x) such as 14 mm eyepiece and varied focal-length eyepiece 7-21 mm, cause eyepiece 6.3 gives too large increase(1300/6,3=206x). Do you agree with my calculations and choice? An one more question: will 45 erecting prism help me to get direct images on this telescope? Klientu apkalpošana:
Yes, we agree with your choice. The telescope's technical characteristics are far superior than Levenhuk Strike 90 Plus has. This model comes with10 mm SUPER eyepiece, which also can be used for observing the Moon. The eyepiece Plossl 6.3 mm gives you an increase that is close to the maximum useful magnification; it's likely that you won't need any additional accessories. Yes, you can get "terrestrial" images with an erecting prism that you can buy separately.

As I understood, all telescopes have factory adjustment, so I don't have to worry about it? And, as I get it, the adjustment of a newtonian reflector should be periodically repeated? Klientu apkalpošana:
Yes, you are right.

Telescope Levenhuk Strike 1000 PRO, 2x Barlow Lens, eyepiece SUPER 10 mm - the magnification will be 260x. The useful magnification - 200x. If I use this combination, will the picture be blurred?? Or with some adjustment I can make it clear? Can I get with this combinaion 200x increase using the focuser? Or the Barlow lens is only for the eyepiece 25 mm? The eyepiece Plossl 6.3 mm - with it I can achieve 206x magnification (without the Barlow lens) but it would be great to use 10 mm eyepiece to its full potential (the eyeglass of the latter is much bigger than 6.3 mm eyepiece has.) Klientu apkalpošana:
If the maximum useful magnification is exceeded, the image quality is significantly reduced, and It's not possible to make it any clearer. The magnification depends on what eyepiece you use; a focuser can not affect the increase. The Barlow Lens can be used with the 25 mm eyepiece.

Good afternoon, folks! I was observing Saturn last Saturday and you know what? Just wow ! I loved it! Thank you Levenhuk for helping me out in choosing a telescope. I can't wait to see Mars, but I have no idea, what time is the best for that. Maybe you can tell me.. Klientu apkalpošana:
The best time to observe Mars is its opposition, when the planet reaches its closest point to the Earth. The next opposition of Mars will be on April 9, 2014.

Should I buy this (https://www.levenhuk.com/products/eyepiece-levenhuk-let-2mm/) eyepiece for the telescope Levenhuk Strike 1000 PRO. Theoretically, the increase will be about 600-fold, does it affect image quality? Klientu apkalpošana:
The resulting image will be blurred, because the maximum useful magnification of 204x will be exceeded.

Hello! I'm new to astronomy and have some problems with choosing a telescope. I would like to buy a telescope for astrophotography. After a long search, my choice fell on this telescope and the Levenhuk Levenhuk SkyMatic 105 GT MAK model, but also I liked this one: Levenhuk SkyMatic 127 GT MAK. But the last one is too expensive, I can spend only 1000$. This model comes with a rich kit, that cannot be said about the others, but they have an autoguider. Tell me, is it worth it to buy one with an autoguider system or is it better without it? and I should learn how to navigate independently? What telescope should I choose for astrophotography? I live in a city and I'm planning to go to the countryside for my observations. I would like to emphasize the priority of high image quality, I'm going to shoot solar system objects as well as deep-sky distant bodies. Klientu apkalpošana:
For beginners we recommend telescopes with an autoguider system. These telescopes significantly simplify searching of celestial objects. In the future you can buy accessories separately.
